I had to work until Friday the week Christmas, so it became a very busy week preparing for the holiday & travel!

I wrote, addressed and mailed my Christmas cards on Sunday. A few of my friends asked me where my card was because normally I mail them them the week after Thanksgiving. I was super late this year, but at least they got done!

I attempted, for the second time this season, to go see Zoolights at the Lincoln Park Zoo with some friends on Sunday night. It was another failed effort due to low supply of parking and high demand for parking spots. Instead, we ended up at Hamburger Mary’s for dinner. I ordered a Spicy Mary style black bean burger with fries. The burger itself was great and then it was topped with jalapenos, cheese and a chipotle sauce. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

I couldn’t let the season pass without trying some holiday flavored fro yo. I tried the pumpkin, eggnog and peppermint flavors topped only with sprinkles. I tried the peppermint first and it had the strongest flavor. It started off tasting like fluoride, but I loved it by the end!

I spent a majority of the rest of the week baking four batches of cookies and creating food treats for holiday gifts at work. I baked Nestle Tollhouse’s Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies, subbing holiday M & Ms for the chocolate chunks.

And Jenna’s Chewy Peppermint Mocha Cookies. I also made Mama Pea’s No Bake Snowball Cookies, but I forgot to photograph them.
I also made 180 chocolate covered pretzels for work holiday gifts. This photograph is about 3 years old, from last time I made them because I also forgot to photograph them. D-oh!

Friday finally arrived!!! One of my co-workers gave me the best trail mix in the world for Christmas. I immediately busted into on the drive home-deliciousness!
On my way home, I stopped at a friend’s house for an ugly sweater party. I went sans ugly sweater, so I was made to wear the reindeer antler. 
Then it was home, sweet, home for the holidays.

With havin so much written content do you ever
run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation?
My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.
