I made a resolution to become more dedicated to running this year. When I tried for my first marathon, back in 2008, I felt the strongest as a runner and was the most consistent. I want to get back there!
So I decided to see how many consecutive days I could keep up a running streak. On the first, I ran the NYD 5K. The second, I did a snowy three miles.
On the third, another cold, snowy three miles. The fourth, five more cold miles and I felt great. The fifth, three and a half miles in the cold.
On the seventh day, Chicago decided we were going to have a spring day. So I ran five miles in shorts. Look at those pasty, white legs! Chicago liked 50 degrees so much, it decided to do the same spring thing on Saturday & I ran two and a half miles in shorts. Sunday, the eighth, I did a long run of six mile back, in pants. The ninth, three and a quarter miles. And then I ended my running streak with two last miles on the tenth. Whew! Hopefully, I have retrained my body to crave running…
What is your longest consecutive day running streak?
